Animalia in Sand – Behind the Scenes Tours of New Sand Sculpting Exhibit

Are you looking for an interesting and unique end-of-year outing (or excursion for schools)?

An exciting new sand sculpting exhibition is about to open at Boneo Discovery Park and you can get a sneak peek with a behind the scenes tour before it opens to the public.

For one week only, guided tours of Animalia in Sand will take place as the sculptors work to complete the exhibition in time for the public opening on 14th December. The tours are one of a kind and are strictly limited with participants asked to leave their cameras at home to keep safe the secrets of sand sculptors.

See how sand sculpting superstars with Sand Sculpting Australia turn 3,500 tonnes of sand into a magical wonderland incorporating all 26 of Graeme Base’s amazing characters from the much-loved Animalia children’s book. The sculptors will be able to answer your questions and give you a unique insight into how these massive sand sculptures are created.

Tickets include a guided group tour, park access for the day and a FREE ticket to visit the exhibition again when it is complete and open to the general public.
